Monster High Dead Tired Dolls

A year or so ago a new line of the Monster High dolls came out. These dolls are called Dead Tired, and are dressed for a sleepover. When these came out many forms of beds came out including a coffin for Draculaura that doubled as a jewelry box. Within the last few months the line has finally gotten some new dolls, Clawdeen Wolf , Abbey Bominable , and Draculaura .

In this set the only fully new doll is the Abbey doll, the other two are remakes in a way. However they are different from their original Dead Tired dolls. Draculaura's hair is done differently then before, in the first version her hair was up in short and tall pony tails at the top of her head. I like both versions, but I really like this version of the dolls. One of the best things about it is the fact you no longer have to get Clawdeen's bed in order to get her, like you had to with the first version. As always these dolls are beautifully made, and even though they don't come with a brush or stand they are definitely worth what they cost. Hopefully they will release more Dead Tired dolls as time goes on.

I fully recommend these dolls to any collector!

Venus McFlyTrap and Robecca Steam

Last week I had a package come in with something amazing in it, the two newest signature dolls in the Monster High Line.

Venus McFlytrap and Robecca Steam , both are becoming very hard to find in store. I have never seen these in stores and was only able to get them due to a glitch where they weren't showing up on a website meaning they still had stock. With how hard it is to get these I would highly recommend grabbing them online while you can, before prices start going crazy.

The dolls are made beautifully, with extreme amounts of detail on them. Robecca is the daughter of a Mad Scientist, and her outfit is very steam punk. She's a robot and they put in quite a bit of details to show that, her eyes have gears as the iris's of her eyes and she has rivet bumps on her legs and arms. She even has working gears on the back of her legs, the gears will turn and don't have any real purpose but to add to the doll itself. Her pet is a robotic penguin with a jetpack, which looks oh so cute~! Venus is the daughter of the plant monster, and she's into the 'green' movement to save the world. Her purse is a canvas bag, much like the ones many companies suggest using for shopping instead of using plastic bags. She is made just as beautifully as Robecca, with many details such as ivy accessories and jagged leaf-like ears. Her pet is a Venus Flytrap, that is very adorable.

The only problem I'm seeing with these dolls is that you have to be careful with Venus's hair. She has hair like Abbey's that likes to fall out if you're too rough with brushing it. Not everyone is having this problem though, it seems  it depends on the doll you get.

Even with that problem though, I highly recommend these dolls for your collection. They are beautifully made and perfect additions to the Monster High line!

Create a Monster Torso Pack

Last week I spoke about the create a monster starter pack and mentioned the add on packs you can get for the Create a Monster line. Now the main problem with the Create a Monster add on packs is the fact that you don't get a torso with these packs which until recently made them seem rather useless. However there is a way to get these packs and have the dolls you want.

From the Mattel website you can get a pack of 5 torsos to use with the add on packs. There is a limit of two per order to purchase, but at only 7.50 packs they are a great thing to get for the add on packs. With just this pack and a 10 dollars or so for an add on pack you can have a whole new doll, compared to the 20 some most monster high dolls are. The dolls you can create with the add on packs are quite beautiful, so far I have gotten the insect/bee girl and the skeleton girl.

The dolls are beautiful, the wigs aren't the best quality but that doesn't stop them from being beautiful. I fully reccomend getting the torso pack and picking up some add on packs! Even if you only want one, you can sell the others many people are after them.

Monster High Create A Monster 2 packs

Before I have talked about the Monster High Create A Monster, however that was for the keychain form of them. There are several forms of the Create A Monster that you can get, it just depends on what kind of creating you want to do. Today I'm going to tell you about the two packs you can get for about the price of a doll with its pet.

Personally I picked up the vampire boy and gargoyle boy pack , but I'm assuming all the two packs work the same way. The dolls were very easy to put together, you just have to make sure you get the right and left on in the right places though if you mess up its easy to take it off and do it again. These sets are very heavily focused on continuing the fun of making your own monsters. The pieces can be mixed and matched to make your own unique dolls, or you can keep the parts to themselves and get two uniform dolls. The dolls are made just as beautifully as the regular Monster High dolls, and you get two for the price of one! There are some bad parts of course but they are minor. You only get one wig per pack, and the wig sometimes takes a big of work to make it look alright on the doll you use it on. Also you only get one pair of shoes, which I find to be rather odd considering you get two outfits for the dolls. Lastly you only get one stand in the pack, so if you get the men CAM pack then it can be a bit hard to get another stand considering they have a special bigger stand.

Beyond those points though, these are excellent dolls and I would recommend getting them. However you have to make sure to get the two packs, they come with torsos to use while the add on packs do not come with them.
