Meowlody and Purrsephone

About a week or so before Christmas I was doing some looking on Toys R Us to find a price of a My Little Pony item I'm interested in, so I can write a blog about it here. However when I got online I decided  to check through Monster High to see if they had anything new. The thing that caught my eye though wasn't new, it was a restock for the holiday season of an exclusive doll set! I immediately ordered the dolls and they came in a couple days before Christmas.

These two werecat sisters were an exclusive released back in April and were quickly sold out online. Their prices had gone through the roof on Amazon, but are now back down to a normal price which you can get by clicking on the link above.  If you are wanting to get it through Toys R Us's website, click here. Either way you'll get a beautiful set of dolls, and both ways of ordering it are pretty smooth and painless.

This set, because it is a double pack, does not come with everything they usually come with. For example, they do not come with stands for the dolls nor do they come with brushes.  Another noticeably lacking item is a pet for them, however it is explained within their Bio why there wasn't one. They had a bird years ago but one of them had developed an allergy so they had to give the bird away. So that seems to be the reason the dolls have no small pet with them, they probably won't until in the stories they get another if they do end up getting a pet. They only come with one diary, the twins have both 'written' in it instead of having two different ones. Out of all the things the doll set is missing, I wish they would have gotten stands with them, they won't stand up on their own unless their tail is against something.

Even with the lack of a stand, so many dolls come with them that don't need them it would be easy to get another doll's stand for them. I have not tried using another stand with them yet, but their tail seems to be different from the other werecat Toralei's, so I don't believe the tail would cause too much of a problem with a stand. The tail can move in a full 360 making it much easier to move out of the way if it is causing a problem. The dolls have beautiful hair that doesn't have the problem of falling out as certain dolls do such as Abbey, however they do have had parts glued together. The main part is their striped streak, however I have found another random part of their hair being glued as well which may just be a factory error with my dolls. Their outfits as always are well made, the twins proving to be like yin and yang with the opposite patterns and colors.  They both have a glove on one hand along with a bunch of bracelets on that arm, with the other only having one bracelet. Their style is rather unique far as Monster High dolls and is an interesting concept,  though their purses follow the usual  theme of the doll with these being red yarn balls.

All in all these are beautiful dolls and the only version of these characters out so far. I highly recommend getting them for your ghoul's collection,  they are well worth the price.

Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze Dolls

Tonight I went out to Walmart just exploring as usual, they are changing their toy section around right now so a lot of toys are going on clearance to make room for the new ones coming in. I've been trying to avoid buying any dolls lately because of how much they cost to get, however I couldn't help myself when I saw the newest batch of Monster High dolls on the shelves.   One of the newest waves to come out is for the future game that is coming out for the Wii and the DS, due to be released in November.  So far in the doll set there is Frankie Stein , Operetta , Lagoona Blue , and Ghoulia Yelps . There are other dolls available, however they are exclusives to certain stores making it a lot harder for me to get right now.

These dolls are beautifully done just like all their dolls are, making them a joy to get and open up. Every one of the dolls come with beautifully made roller skates and helmets that are themed around the character. For example Lagoona's has a fish scale pattern and a large fin on it while Ghoulia's looks like a brain.  As with most of the dolls, these come with stands for collectors to use along with a little image card that has a picture of the character on the front and then on the back it has pictures of all four characters.  One thing that is different with these dolls is they do not come with brushes for the dolls, however with how the hair is mostly sprayed so its hard and stays in place there isn't really a need for a brush. The dolls all seem to have a green theme with them, the stands being a bright green and all of them having green on their outfits along with in their head. The fact all these dolls have different hair then they usually do makes them an even more amazing doll to collect.

I highly recommend these dolls for anyone who is interested in them! They are typically about 17-18 dollars a piece.
