Monster High Stocking Stuffers

Christmas is around the corner and you may be wanting to make your ghoul's Christmas a fantastic Monster High filled one. Now the obvious thing to get would be the dolls of course, but there are a lot of other ways you can fill it with Monster High! For one thing there's always the stocking that needs to be filled!

One of the obvious things to get would be small items like the ones above. At stores such as dollar general you can find these cute monster high lip glosses for your ghoul! There are two different styles out right now, a roll on and a glitter squeeze but I have only found 2 different balms for each so far. Though if you can't find these at your store you could always get a party pack of lipbalms such as these . I have not tried the party packs yet, however I can tel you that the two styles pictured up above are awesome.

Depending on the size of the stocking you are filling, you could possibly put in the flashlight shown above! The little flashlight is great for telling stories in the dark or even just adding a bit of light to a ghouls life. I personally found mine at walmart several months back, however you can also find it here. It runs on two Double A batteries and throws out quite a bit of light with the bulb being a bright LED light. There are other monster high flashlights I haven't tried out yet like this one and this one.

These are just a few stocking stuffer ideas to make your ghoul's Christmas perfect. Make sure to check back next week for another Christmas idea!

Monster High Photo Cards

A few friends of mine in the UK told me about a cool Monster High thing we didn't have here in the US. They were photocards that you buy in packs like trading cards, with 108 possibilities of what you can get.  When I went to the store the other day, I saw that we were now getting the photocards as well!

Front of the Envelope (left) Back of the envelope (right)

The photocards come in a simple envelope,  with 6 in the package for only a couple bucks. The photos that come with it are a variety of art styles and come in both portrait and landscape form.

They are beautifully printed and include a variety of characters, in a variety of outfits. Some of them are in the poster book I wrote about last week, while others are fully new.  These photos would fit in a standard 5x7 album, however if the starter pack comes to the US you can get that and get a binder with a checklist, and a couple 6 card packs.  However if you don't want to wait, you can get it from an eBay seller, such as this one (However that one seems to be sold out now as of January, I have found this one though. )

The artwork on these photos is absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend picking up a few packs if you see them. I found these in the trading card section of my store, check for them the next time you're at the store!

Monster High Poster Book

The other day while I was at the store, I noticed something in the poster section that I hadn't seen before. I of course had to pick it up and look at it, it was Monster High after all! When I saw exactly what it was, I had to get it!

This poster book is filled with 12 different 8.5x11 posters to decorate your monster high room with. The posters are beautiful, for the most part are colored though there is a grayscale poster and others that focus on black and white with a pink accent.

One of the best things about these posters is there's one that has Spectra on it. Granted, she's not a big part of the picture, but it is a nice change to what I have been seeing on posters and merchandise. It is actually the first time I've seen spectra included on anything besides her doll items and costumes of course.  This may be a sign that they will start including her on more things. I was able to find this book for five dollars at my store, though I'm not sure if its available at stores besides Walmart.

I highly recommend this poster book! It comes with perforated lines making it easy to get the posters out to decorate your room with!

Monster High Apptivity Figures and Game

Well, they have finally come out! Wednesday last week I had to go to the store to pick some stuff up, and out of habit I went over to check on the apptivity stuff. I think I may have freaked out some people near me when I yelled out YES! as I saw this beautiful figurine sitting there to buy!

There weren't many in the store when I was there, seems they are getting grabbed off the shelves pretty quickly so I was only able to get Frankie Stein. Even so, I know I will get the others in the set, Draculaura , Clawdeen Wolf , and Lagoona Blue . The figures price wise are alright, being ten dollars a figurine. However they are made beautifully, with quite a bit of detail put into them. Even just as a collectors item, these would be a good things to get! However I realize you all are not here just for the figurine, you gotta be curious about the game as well right? Well when you get the figure there is a card in the box that tells how to download the app.

The app itself right now, is an alright game. You can kinda play the different sections with just one character, but they seem laggy in response compared to Frankie's section so it may be best to just wait to get the other figures. Frankie's game is simple, you go around a class room picking up ingredients for a science experiment. When it goes wrong you create a metal storm you have to escape from. At the end of this, there is a thing that says 'to be continued' so with more updates there will be more parts of the games. I checked out the other games as best as I could, they all seem pretty easy however Draculaura's interested me the most. She's at a carnival with Clawd and wants to win goblins, so she has to play games. I wasn't able to get to one of the games because of not having Draculaura, so I'm not sure if its a game within a game or not. The cut scenes are cute, they are done in a comic book style and feature many different characters depending on what story you are working on. The animation in the game is also well done, the 3D animation being smooth like the movie animations are.

All in all, I definitely recommend this. It is a great, if a bit simple right now, game plus the figures are really cute. They are a great addition to any monster high collection, and I'm sure your little ghouls would love playing with them.
